Wisconsin's in-state countdown: No. 11-15

Wisconsin's 2018 in-state class doesn't feature a four-star prospect, but the group is extremely deep with over 19 Division 1 commitments as of July 9.

As we count down the days before the start of the 2017 high school football season, BadgerBlitz.com ranks the top seniors in the state, continuing with prospects 11 through 15.

No. 15 - Athlete L.O. Johnson

Offers: Colorado State, New Mexico, Wyoming, Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Toledo, Central Michigan, Ball State and Northern Illinois

The word: L.O. Johnson, the state champion in the 100-meter dash (10.99 seconds), has nine offers with interest coming from Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Purdue, among others. The son of former Wisconsin standout Lawrence Johnson, L.O. Johnson could play on either side of the ball at the next level.

No. 14 - Running back Erick Doke

Committed to: Northern Illinois

The word: After rushing for 1,214 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior, Erick Doke made an early commitment to Northern Illinois this spring. Iowa and Michigan State continue to monitor the standout from Kenosha Bradford.

“I committed now because I feel like there won’t be another opportunity like this one,” Doke told BadgerBlitz.com. “It felt right, everything felt right. I didn’t need a ton of offers just to get attention, I wanted to have a school that felt right, and if it did I was going to commit.

“I liked how all the guys were great teammates and the facilities were good. I liked the campus and I really liked all the coaches. The main thing was the coaches, they made me feel like they really wanted me.”

No. 13 - Quarterback Max Alba

Committed to: North Carolina (baseball)

The word: Max Alba, arguably the top quarterback prospect in the state, will play baseball at the next level. The multi-sport athlete from Franklin announced his commitment to North Carolina on June 24 over scholarships from Indiana, TCU, Arizona, Auburn, South Carolina and Arizona State, among others. On the football field, Alba threw for 2,544 yards and 29 touchdowns last year and helped the Sabers reach the Division 1 state title game.

No. 12 - Tight end Michael Naze

Committed to: Navy

The word: Scholarship offers came in from Southern Illinois, South Dakota, Indiana State, North Dakota, Eastern Illinois, Air Force, South Dakota State, North Dakota State and Western Illinois, among others, but Michael Naze committed to Navy on June 27. As a junior, Naze had 23 receptions for 221 yards and helped Catholic Memorial capture a Division 3 state title.

No. 11 - Linebacker Mike Bruner

Offers: Iowa State, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois

The word: A WFCA all-state honorable mention selection as a junior, Mike Bruner made an early commitment to Iowa but has since backed away from that pledge. Since then, the three-star prospect has picked up offers from Iowa State, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois. As a junior, Bruner had 60 tackles, 15 TFL, and six sacks through 10 games.
