Offers: Ohio, Northern Michigan, Minnesota Duluth, Bemidji State, Minnesota State

The word: A varsity performer since his freshman year, Peter MacCudden is one of the most accomplished football players in the state of Wisconsin. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound athlete from Waukesha West High School has rushed for close to 2,800 yards with 39 touchdowns over his last three varsity seasons. At his linebacker position, he's also just nine tackles alway from 300 and has helped the Wolverines reach the playoffs in each of his three seasons. Iowa recently extended a preferred walk-on offer to play safety and the Badgers could do the same after a strong camp performance last month.

No. 24 - Safety Joe Heffernan

Offers: Northern Illinois, Illinois State, Columbia, North Dakota, Western Michigan

The word: From his safety position in 2016, Joe Heffernan racked up an impressive 130 total tackles. A handful of schools have already offered, with Minnesota, Michigan State and Boston College, among others, keeping tabs on the senior from Marquette.

No. 23 - Offensive lineman Bryce Texeira

Committed to: Navy

The word: Bryce Texeira, a WFCA all-region selection as a junior, committed to Navy in late June over offers from Air Force, Bemidji State, Northern Michigan and Minnesota State. Texeira and MacCudden, along with two-way player Tyler Zirpoli, are a big reason why Waukesha West could get to Camp Randall this fall.

No. 22 - Tailback D.J. Stewart

Committed to: North Dakota State

The word: Kimberly replaced one all-state running back with another in 2016, as D.J. Stewart picked up right where Blair Mulholland left off. The North Dakota State commit rushed for 1,857 yards and 32 touchdowns and was a big reason why the undefeated Papermakers captured another WIAA Division 1 state title.

No. 21 - Defensive end R.J. Clarke

Offers: South Dakota State, Illinois State, Western Illinois, Northern Iowa

The word: R.J. Clarke has quietly picked up four offers and is receiving interest from a number of other schools. He'll be a four-year starter this fall after earning first-team all-conference honors on both sides of the ball as a junior.
