With Wisconsin sitting on 19 signatures in the 2018 class after the early signing period, BadgerBlitz.com takes a look at what's left - if anything - to accomplish in the current cycle before next Wednesday.

QUARTERBACK

How many will they take? Wisconsin will take one quarterback in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have a signature from three-star Chase Wolf.

Scholarships seniors: Zero

Signed walk-on: Nate Carter

What's next?

Chase Wolf, a three-star senior from Ohio, chose UW over offers from South Carolina, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Florida, among others, in May.

RUNNING BACK

How many will they take? Wisconsin will to take one tailback in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have a signature from tailback Nakia Watson.

Scholarships seniors: Fullback Austin Ramesh and tailback Rachid Ibrahim

Signed walk-on: Brady Schipper

What's next?

Nakia Watson, who has had a monster senior season, secured his spot in Wisconsin's class during an unofficial visit in June. The three-star back from Westlake High School, who took his official visit in late October, chose the Badgers over offers from Bowling Green, Harvard, Central Arkansas, Harvard, North Texas and Nevada.

"Nakia has worked hard on and off the field to put himself in this position. He's a welcomed addition to the Badger family." - Ted Gilmore

WIDE RECEIVERS

How many will they take? Wisconsin will take two wide receivers in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have signatures from projected wide receivers A.J. Abbott and Taj Mustapha (enrolled early)

Scholarships seniors: George Rushing, Jazz Peavy

What's next?

This summer, Michigan teammates Taj Mustapha and A.J. Abbott from West Bloomfield High School picked up offers at camp and committed days later.

"A.J. is a long, athletic wide receiver with a huge upside that led his team to the state championship game. We are excited about working with him and having him join our program. - Bob Bostad

"Taj was voted Mr. Football at wide receiver in Michigan and was the go-to guy for his team's state championship run. He will maximize this opportunity." - Bob Bostad

TIGHT END

How many will they take? Wisconsin will take two tight ends in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have signatures from projected tight ends Jaylan Franklin and Cormac Sampson.

Scholarships seniors: Troy Fumagalli

Signed walk-on: Jack Eschenbach

What's next?

Jaylan Franklin took part in Wisconsin's camp on June 9. Three days later, the three-star senior committed to the Badgers over offers from Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Michigan State and Kentucky, among others.

"Jaylan has a rare combination of size, speed and athleticism and excelled at multiple positions. We're excited to have him as part of the Badger family." - Bob Bostad

Cormac Sampson was initially being recruited as an athlete who could play either defensive end or tight end. But during camp this summer, the three-star prospect caught passes for tight ends coaches Mickey Turner and the information released on Dec. 20 listed his projected position as TE.

OFFENSIVE LINE

How many will they take? Wisconsin will to take one offensive lineman in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have a signature from three-star offensive guard Michael Furtney.

Scholarships seniors: Zero

Signed walk-on: Andrew Lyons

What's next?

Wisconsin's scholarship numbers on the offensive line are finally getting to a healthy state after signing four in the 2017 class. Projected guard Michael Furtney, who committed in March, is the lone scholarship lineman in the 2018 cycle.

"Michael is an outstanding young man and a tremendous football player. He wants to be great, and he has a skill set and a mindset to get there." - Joe Rudolph

DEFENSIVE LINE

How many will they take? Wisconsin will take three defensive linemen in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have signatures from projected defensive ends Boyd Dietzen and Isaiah Mullens, as well as projected tackle Bryson Williams (enrolled early).

Scholarships seniors: Chikwe Obasih, Alec James, Conor Sheehy

What's next?

Wisconsin was able to hold off a late push from Nebraska for three-star defensive tackle Bryson Williams, who committed to the Badgers this past summer. He joins projected ends Boyd Dietzen and Isaiah Mullens in UW's 2018 class.

"Bryson is a perfect fit, not only on the field but off the field as well. I love his work ethic and his drive to be the best." - Inoke Breckterfield

"Isaiah is a great person and a true worker with a tremendous skill set. We are really looking forward to helping him maximize his ability." - Joe Rudolph

LINEBACKERS

How many will they take? Wisconsin will take three linebackers in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have signatures from projected outside linebackers CJ Goetz and Mason Platter, as well as inside backer Jack Sanborn.

Scholarships seniors: Garret Dooley, Jack Cichy, Leon Jacobs

Signed walk-ons: Marty Strey, John Chenal

What's next?

With commitments from CJ Goetz, Mason Platter and Jack Sanborn, along with Marty Strey and John Chenal as a preferred walk-on, Wisconsin is set at linebacker in this class.

SAFETIES

How many will they take? Wisconsin will take one safety in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have a signature from three-star Reggie Pearson (enrolled early).

Scholarships seniors: Joe Ferguson, Natrell Jamerson

Potential walk-on: Nathan Parodi

What's next?

Reggie Pearson, the first commitment in Wisconsin's 2018 class, is already on campus at UW.

"Reggie was the field general at his high school and is chomping at the bit to compete. We can't wait to get him on campus in January." - Bob Bostad

CORNERBACKS

How many will they take? Wisconsin is expected to take three - possibly four - cornerbacks in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have signatures from projected cornerbacks Alex Smith, Travian Blaylock and Donte Burton (enrolled early).

Scholarships seniors: Derrick Tindal, Natrell Jamerson and Lubern Fiagro

What's next?

After Alex Smith's commitment during an unofficial visit in June, Wisconsin had room for one more cornerback. That spot was quickly scooped up

Trayvian Blaylock, who chose UW over Stanfordin early July. But whenTrent Ingalls back away from his pledge, Wisconsin reexamined its recruiting board and turned up the heat on Donte Burton, who committed to the Badgers in October during an official visit.

"Donte is a wonderful, smart young man and is equally as talented on the field. He has great feet and terrific coverage ability. He's a great addition to our team." - John Settle

"Travian is an outstanding, humble young man whose athleticism is equally as good. We're excited for his future as a Badger." - Ted Gilmore

"Alex has all-around ability both on and off the field. He is a perfect fit for our program and we're excited to have him." - Ted Gilmore

The Badgers still have room for Florida cornerback Rachard Wildgoose. The three-star prospect, who is also considering Pitt, N.C. State and UCF, will be on campus this weekend for an official visit.

ATHLETES

How many will they take? Wisconsin is expected to take two athletes in the 2018 class.

Who do they already have? The Badgers have signatures from three-star prospects Isaac Guerendo and Aron Cruickshank(will enroll early).

Scholarships seniors: None

Signed walk-on: Mike Gregorie

What's next?

Speedster Isaac Guerendo could play receiver or defensive back for the Badgers. The three-star prospect's name surfaced on Wisconsin's radar after he recorded a 4.38-second 40-yard dashat the Irish Invasion on June 11 - the fastest time at Notre Dame's camp.

"Isaac has tremendous speed, size and power for a wide receiver. We're excited for his potential and happy he chose the Badgers." - Bod Bostad

Aron Cruickshank, who will enroll early, could help Wisconsin right away in the return game.

"Aron plays the game with great speed and explosiveness, but his attitude and determination are his most impressive traits. I'm really looking forward to watching him grow and develop at Wisconsin." - Mickey Turner
