Coach: Wisconsin getting a "freakish athlete" in WR A.J. Abbott
Ron Bellamy hasn't been around A.J. Abbott, a transfer from Northville High School in Michigan, for very long.
But the head coach at West Bloomfield and former Michigan Wolverines wide out feels his 6-foot-2, 181-pound senior is going to give Wisconsin a player it hasn't had at wide out in some time.
"A.J. is a freakish athlete and, to be honest, something that Wisconsin has been missing for a while," Bellamy told BadgerBlitz.com on Friday evening, the night of Abbott's public commitment to the Badgers. "A.J. is a longer guy at 6-foot-2 who can jump out of the gym, catch the ball and be a vertical threat.
