Over the next two weeks, BadgerBlitz.com will be bringing you snapshots for each recruited position, covering the targets who are legitimate prospects on Wisconsin's board in the 2023 class. We will discuss the candidates who are most interested in the Badgers, as well as those who are considered long shots to commit to UW.

As always, this is just a snapshot in time and things remain fluid. Additional offered targets will appear over the next few months and some recruits will inevitably choose other colleges.

Today, we continue with a look at the wide receivers.

QUICK BREAKDOWN

On paper, Wisconsin has one of its deeper receiver groups in recent memory taking part in fall camp. Danny Davis, Kendric Pryor and Chimere Dike are atop the depth chart, but position coach Alvis Whitted likely has at least three more game-ready wide outs in Jack Dunn, A.J. Abbott and Devin Chandler.

"There's only one football and, obviously, we have our identity of who we are offensively," Whitted said at Wisconsin's media day. "I think a lot of that will be determined as we progress into fall camp and we get an opportunity to truly see guys in that environment, competing. Really, how guys can take coaching, how they continue to grow and develop, how they grow from their experiences, how they develop in their routine and habits, daily. I think a lot of that will be a big tell-tale of how the cream rises to the top."

With Davis, Pryor and Dunn heading into their final seasons, the first tier of the group will look different in 2022. The next wave of talent, a group that includes Stephan Bracey, Isaac Smith, Skyler Bell and Markus Allen, is expected to compete for reps with Dike, Abbott and Chandler.

OFFERED PROSPECTS

Wisconsin offered Rivals250 receiver Anthony Brown in May. He is from the same high school as senior wide out Danny Davis.

"The receivers coach has been in contact with my coach and he was telling him about the interest Wisconsin had in me," Brown told BadgerBlitz.com. "They kept in contact and Coach Whitted showed the staff my film.

"They liked my explosiveness and said they need to have that in the 2023 class, and that's when the offer came in."

Brown also lists scholarships from Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee, among others.
