Wisconsin will be without two offensive weapons for Saturday's Big Ten Championship game against Ohio State.
Friday, the school announced that sophomore running back Bradrick Shaw (left leg) and junior tight end Zander Neuville (right leg) will miss the remainder of the 2017 season. Both were injured last Saturday in a win over Minnesota.
Shaw, who has rushed for 365 yards and four touchdowns this season, battled injuries this fall and watched freshman Jonathan Taylor overtake his starting job at tailback. Chris James, Rachid Ibrahim and Garrett Groshek will be relied upon at tailback moving forward.
Neuville served as Wisconsin's top blocking tight end this fall. He also caught nine passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns through 12 games. Sophomore Kyle Penniston will likely take on a bigger role moving forward behind starter Troy Fumagalli.
The release also indicated that safety D'Cota Dixon (right leg) was removed from the questionable list, while outside linebacker Noah Burks (left leg) was won't play against the Buckeyes.
