With National Signing Day quickly approaching, BadgerBlitz.com takes a look back at Wisconsin's outside linebacker recruiting over the last five years during Paul Chryst's tenure.
CLASS OF 2017
Wisconsin jumped into the junior college ranks in order to get immediate help from Andrew Van Ginkel, who also had offers from Nebraska, Iowa, California and Minnesota, among others. In two seasons, Van Ginkel played in 27 games with 10 starts and racked up 99 tackles (64 solo) and 12 sacks. He is currently in his second season with the Miami Dolphins.
Prior to Van Ginkel's commitment, the staff put in a ton of effort to land Izayah Green-May, who visited UW four times before he committed. The former three-star prospect has battled injuries during his career at UW and has played in just 18 games over the last three seasons.
