At 6-foot-7 and 280 pounds, Aaron Vopal looked like he was cut from the same cloth as Isaiahh Loudermilk, a multi-year starter for the Badgers. But the former in-state standout moved to the offensive line midway through his career at UW and is currently not in the two-deep on that side of the ball.
Former preferred walk-on Matt Henningsen quickly emerged as a productive option at end and earned a scholarship after his redshirt freshman season. He has played in 29 games with 16 starts during his time at Wisconsin. Fellow walk-on Michael Balistreri was listed on the depth chart this week against Indiana with Henningsen out for the remainder of the season.
