Juniors CJ Goetz and Michael Naze were big contributors on Waukesha (WI) Catholic Memorial's undefeated state title team this past fall.

Goetz, a three-star linebacker, is already committed to Wisconsin while Naze, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound tight end, is being recruited by the Badgers and was on campus Friday for UW's spring game.

"CJ and I are from Wisconsin, so we know a lot about the Badgers' great tradition," Naze told BadgerBlitz.com. "CJ has told me a lot about his recruiting process with Wisconsin. It helps me to have an idea of what to expect and what they are looking for.

"The visit to Wisconsin went great. I had the chance to get on the field and talk to some coaches and I really had a good time."

While on campus, Naze, who had 23 receptions for 221 yards as a junior, was able to connect with members of Wisconsin's coaching staff. He has the ability to play tight end, H-back or fullback at the next level.

"They all said they really liked my film and they want me to come to a camp," Naze said. "They're also going to be at my school this spring and I do plan on going to Wisconsin's camp this summer.

"I had a great time on the visit and hope to continue the process with Wisconsin. They said they want to see me at a camp. If I go to a camp and compete just like other recruits, there's a chance for an offer. I hope I can show them what they need to see."

At this point, Naze said he's hearing the most from Navy, Ball State, Toledo, and Wisconsin. He currently has scholarships from Ball State, Illinois State, Navy and Western Illinois.

"I visited a few schools before Wisconsin and now I'm mostly just getting ready for camps," said Naze, who recently took trips to Navy, Ball State, Toledo, Western Michigan, Iowa and Minnesota. "I'm still getting my camp dates finalized but I will be going to a few other Big Ten camps.

"With Wisconsin, I've grown up a fan and have been to many games over the years. Both my parents also went there, so my whole family are Wisconsin fans."
