Over the next two weeks, BadgerBlitz.com will be bringing you snapshots for each recruited position, covering the targets who are legitimate prospects on Wisconsin's board in the 2019 class. We will discuss the candidates who are most interested in the Badgers, as well as those who are considered long shots to commit to UW.

As always, this is just a snapshot in time and things remain fluid. Additional offered targets will appear over the next few months and some recruits will inevitably choose other colleges.

Today, we continue with a look at the wide receivers.

Quick Breakdown

If the committed prospects in Wisconsin's 2018 recruiting class hold true come December/February, the Badgers should be pretty well set at wide receiver for the immediate future. Last February, UW signed Cade Green, Emmet Perry and Danny Davis to go along with Deron Harrell, a greyshirt from the 2016 class. In this cycle, position coach Ted Gilmore has pledges from Michigan teammates A.J. Abbott and Taj Mustapha, along with New York speedster Aron Cruickshank. Isaac Guerendo is being recruited as an athlete but could very well start at receiver when he arrives on campus as well.

With as many as eight players mentioned above working at receiver there will be a bit of a log-jam at the position. And with no senior (scholarship) wide outs expected on the roster next fall, the Badgers will likely only need one or two receivers in 2019. Though it's still very early, there could already be a top target on UW's recruiting board...
