Chryst was asked about his team's 13-year winning streak over the Golden Gophers, and the head coach said that his team knows what's happened in previous years doesn't matter when it comes time to play the game on Saturday.
"Each year is a new opportunity," Chryst said. "Certainly this game means a ton to both sides. IF you look back at the history of it both schools have had their runs. The great thing about sports is its 'What are you doing today?' This group knows that. It's all about this year, two teams. You've got to go play the game to earn the right to keep the axe or get the axe."
