On the recruiting front: Wisconsin Badgers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

Wisconsin and Ohio State, which square off Saturday night in Madison, had some key head-to-head recruiting battles over the last few years. BadgerBlitz.com takes a closer look inside.

Recruiting story: One of Paul Chryst's most significant recruiting losses during his time as head coach at Wisconsin came in the 2022 class when in-state offensive lineman Carson Hinzman chose the Buckeyes over the Badgers. The No. 1 center in that cycle took officials to both schools, as well as Iowa and Notre Dame.

"I absolutely appreciate them. They've done everything right," Hinzman said of Wisconsin. "There's been a lot of great guys but like I said, I committed there (to Ohio State). I'm a man of my word and I'm gonna go play for the best fans in the land. That's what I committed to. That's what my family committed to and I'm ready to get to work."
