Paul Chryst continues to show the value he places on special teams with his efforts on the recruiting front.

Wisconsin's head coach used a scholarship on punter Anthony Lotti in the 2016 class. And despite tight numbers in 2017, the Badgers appear ready to to the same with a kicker in this cycle.

Monday, assistant coach Chris Haering extended an offer to Adam Stack, the nation's top kicker and punter, according to Chris Sailer Kicking.

"I have been in contact with coach Haering and coach (Taylor) Mehlhaff for a while and they have been telling me to stay patient, so it was really exciting when they made the offer," Stack told BadgerBlitz.com. "It's still pretty early in my recruiting process but Wisconsin will definitely be one of my top schools."

A 6-foot-2, 175-pound junior from Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii, Stack visited Madison unofficial in early April to check out a spring practice. He was also able to see his brother, Ryan Stack, a member of the Badgers' swim team.

"He (Ryan) was stoked when I told him about the offer," Adam Stack said. "He loves it in Madison and he'd love to have me up there with him.

"I'll definitely visit Wisconsin again. I'm hoping to make it to their camp this summer."

Stack is also considering offers from Army, Miami, Oregon, Oregon State and San Diego State.

"I'll be attending a few college camps this summer at Alabama and Oregon," Stack said. "I'm planning on making my decision before my senior year starts."

Wisconsin currently has 10 commitments in the 2017 class. Starting kicker Rafael Gaglianone is entering his junior season at UW this fall.
