Making the trip to Wisconsin with Walled Lake Western (MI) teammates Spencer Brown and Samuel Johnson III, 2019 athlete Kobe Myers showed off his versatility at the Badgers' camp this weekend.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior-to-be worked at running back, defensive back and wide receiver in front of the UW coaching staff Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.
"The Wisconsin camp went really well," Myers told BadgerBlitz.com. "All the coaches said they liked me a lot and liked my athleticism. They said they liked how physical I was and that I'm definitely on their watchlist and want me to come back down for a game.
"It was a great experience - I learned a lot and had tons of fun."
While on campus, Myers was also able to tour the facilities and get his first glimpse at the program.
"I took part in the camp and the coaches also showed me around campus," Myers said. "I got to see everything and I really loved it. The facilities were awesome and being at the university gave me the sense of the hardcore tradition of what Wisconsin football is built on.
"I'm still feeling overwhelmed from my experience at Wisconsin. To be at a camp with such a rich tradition and heritage of big-time football was a great opportunity."
Early in the process, Myers, who missed most of his sophomore season with an ankle injury, has offers from Ohio and Syracuse.
"I have been offered by Syracuse and Ohio and the schools that I have been hearing from the most are Northern Illinois and Central Michigan," Myers, who noted he is now 100 percent healthy, said. "My next visits are to Syracuse this coming Saturday and NIU and CMU by the end of this month.
"When I received my first offer from Syracuse I was very excited and it confirmed for me that I could play college football. I'm very grateful for them extending the offer."
