Zagzebski had pick of All-American games

As it turns out, Konrad Zagzebski had his pick of all-star games.
Wisconsin first verbal in its 2010 class, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker/defensive end from Schofield (Wis.) D.C. Everest was invited to both the US Army All-American Bowl and the Under Armour All-Star Game.

"I actually was invited to both the Army game and the Under Armour game, but I choose the Under Armour game in the end," Zagzebski told BadgerBlitz.com Tuesday night. "I just felt like the Under Armour game had better coaches and I would be able to get more from playing, stuff that I could then take back with me to Wisconsin.
"It was a really great honor. I'm really exited to play against some of the best competition in the nation. I'm really excited to go out there and represent Wisconsin and have a good time."
The contest in scheduled to take place in Orlando on Jan. 2, 2010. Current Badger Tyler Westphal competed in the all-star event in 2008.
In the more immediate future, Zagzebski plans on attending Wisconsin's summer camp in a few days.
"Yeah, I'm going to camp the first session, which will be a week from Sunday," he said. "I'm exited about that. School's going great, just finishing up the year and my grades are real good. Track went really well, I ran my 100 (meter dash) time just as fast as I did last year, and I'm excited to get back on the football field."
Zagzebski, who went down with a knee injury midway through his junior season, appears to be nearing 100 percent heading into the summer.
"The knee is feeling great," said Zagzebski, who will enter his fourth season as a starter at D.C. Everest. "I was actually just out on the field last night cutting on it and it didn't bother me at all; I didn't think twice about it. I've been cleared by my doctor for everything and we're good to go for the summer and the fall."
The three-star prospect has also been in contact with other Badger prospects.
"I've talked to Marquis (Mason) back and forth on Facebook and he's a great kid," Zagzebski said. "I just saw on your site that we got the third commit (Bryce Gilbert), but I haven't had a chance to talk with him yet.
"If the coaches want me to talk with some kids at camp, I'd be more than happy to."
Zagzebski is the No. 8 ranked inside linebacker in the nation according to Rivals.com.
