After visiting campus a number of times this fall, 2018 quarterback Ben Bryant has committed to Wisconsin.
"I've been to many schools on visits - nothing beats Wisconsin," Bryant told BadgerBlitz.com on Wednesday. "I had a lot of interest from several schools but I didn't want to wait around for offers when I already know where I want to go."
Bryant visited Madison for three football games this season, and said each one was an "amazing experience."
"I love it there and I cant wait to be apart of [the program]," Bryant said. "I feel like its a great fit for me and I will do well in the offense."
"I feel like it could be a great fit for me," Bryant told Rivals.com. "The coaches really want me there and they are a top 10 school academically.
"I love the campus and it's really close to home. There's a lot of reasons why."
The Badgers were the first program to offer the 6-foot-3, 180-pound junior from Lyons High School in Illinois this past summer. Bryant ultimately chose UW over an offer from Central Michigan and strong interest from a handful of other schools.
Wisconsin extended four offers (including Bryant) to quarterbacks in the 2018 class, along with Jack Tuttle, Artur Sitkowski and Chase Wolf. There's a possibility Chryst could take two scholarship players at the position, though it's still too early for a concrete decision.
"Coach Chryst just said that they are kind of low at the quarterback position," Bryant said. "He said they are probably only taking one in my class, but there is a slight possibility of two."
Bryant is the third commit for Wisconsin in the 2018 class, along with projected safeties Trent Ingalls and Reggie Pearson.
