The Wisconsin Badgers announced the addition of seven mid-year enrollees Wednesday, a group headlined by four-star prospects Jack Coan, Kayden Lyles and Andrew Van Ginkel, a junior college transfer who will have two years of eligibility remaining at UW.
Cornerbacks Faion Hicks and Madison Cone, outside linebacker Izayah Green-May and 2016 greyshirt Deron Harrell, who will begin at wide receiver, round out the haul that will take part in spring camp starting in March.
Ten other prospects from the 2017 class are expected to sign with the Badgers on Feb. 1, which is National Signing Day.
The No. 12 pro-style quarterback in the country, Jack Coan picked Wisconsin over offers from Nebraska, Michigan, Northwestern and Rutgers, among others. He is expected to compete with quarterbacks Alex Hornibrook and Kare' Lyles this spring and fall.

Andrew Van Ginkel, who chose UW over offers from Nebraska and Iowa, among others, is expected to begin at outside linebacker for the Badgers. He will have a chance to compete for a starting role with 2016 starters Vince Biegel (graduation) and T.J. Watt (foregoing his senior season for the NFL) no longer with the program.
Three-star cornerback Madison Cone will join a position group that Derrick Tindal, Natrell Jamerson, Lubern Fiagro, Nick Nelson, Titus Booker, Dontye Carriere-Williams and Caesar Williams.
A Wisconsin signee from the 2016 class, Deron Harrell was originally recruited as a cornerback but is going to start his career at wide receiver under position coach Ted Gilmore.
Faion Hicks chose the Badgers over offers from Iowa State, Illinois, Cincinnati and South Florida, among others, after an official visit in October.
Listed as a defensive end, Izayah Green-May will get his first shot at outside linebacker this spring. The three-star prospects picked Wisconsin over offers from Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa State, Minnesota, Mississippi State and Syracuse, among others.
