Top PA Running Back Considering Wisconsin

Nate Schiccatano, a 6-3, 220-pound running back/outside linebacker from Catawissa, PA, said Tuesday night he’s strongly considering the Badgers, along with a handful of other programs.
Schiccatano is considered one of the top backs on the East Coast because of his size and 4.38 40-time.

“I had a great visit this summer when I was out there,” Schiccatano said. “Coach Alvarez is a real nice guy. I just got off the phone with Coach Bradford.”
Schiccatano said the schools on top of his list right now include Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Iowa, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Florida, West Virginia and Pittsburgh.
He attended two Penn State games last year and the PSU-Miami opener this season, but the uncertain situation in Happy Valley has temporarily made him wary about the Nittany Lions.
“I’ve been around there a lot. (The losing streak) worries me a little bit. I’m just going to wait it out a little bit and see what happens at the end of the season,” Schiccatano said.
He plans to narrow his decision down to five schools towards the end of his season, and take advantage of all five official visits. After receiving a call from the Virginia Tech coaching staff Tuesday night, he is strongly considering a trip to the VT-West Virginia game this weekend.
