There's another Watt brother headed to the NFL, as the Pittsburgh Steelers made former Wisconsin outside linebacker T.J. Watt the 30th overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night in Philadelphia.
The youngest Watt brother declared for the NFL Draft a year early after a breakout season with the Badgers, where he racked up 15.5 tackles for loss and led the Big Ten in sacks as a junior.
Watt will follow in the footsteps of his older brothers - J.J. Watt, Houston's four-time All-Pro defensive end, and Derek Watt, a fullback who was drafted in the sixth round last year by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Now headed to Pittsburgh after Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin came to watch Watt's Pro Day in early March, Watt should fit right in with the Steelers' 3-4 defense, allowing him to continue to play outside linebacker at the next level.
Watt is the first defensive player from UW to be selected in the first round of the NFL draft since J.J. Watt was taken as the No. 11 overall pick by the Texans in 2011. He's also Wisconsin's sixth first-round pick since 2011.
