At a glance -
The No. 14 Wisconsin Badgers return home after beating Marquette to take on another in-state opponent, the Green Bay Phoenix. Wisconsin has controlled the series and will look to extend their current win-streak (this season) to six. UW has already beaten half of last year’s Final Four participants (Oklahoma and Syracuse), so with the momentum on its side expect Wisconsin to continue marching.

Green Bay Phoenix
Phoenix last outing
Despite scoring a season-high 97 points, the Green Bay Phoenix wound up on the losing end of a firefight falling to Central Michigan 107-97. Five different Phoenix players managed double figures, including a career- high 23 points from Kerem Kanter, but Central’s offense and Marcus Keene’s 40 points were just too much for Green Bay to handle on their trip to Mount Pleasant.
Phoenix quick facts –
- Wisconsin and Green Bay have become fairly familiar over the years having met annually since 1999. Wisconsin is 21-1 all time versus UWGB with a perfect 18-0 record in Madison.
- Green Bay has appeared in the NCAA Tournament on five occasions including most recently in 2016. They are 1-5 in the tournament.
- The Badgers will be jealous to learn that UWGB has a network of underground tunnels that protect students from the inclement weather during the Tundra’s harsh winters.
