The Badgers practiced for the first time in their new Adidas "Made in March" uniforms that they are scheduled to wear for both the Big Ten tournament and NCAA tournament. The jerseys feature the "Badgers" word across the chest, with Bo Ryan's "Next" mantra on the inside collar.
Jordan Hill said the jerseys were "comfortable" and "not too tight."
A second-place finish in the Big Ten locked up a first-round bye for the Badgers in the first round of this week's Big Ten tournament. The Badgers await the winner of Thursday's game between No. 7 Minnesota and No. 10 Penn State.
Today, Wisconsin prepared for Minnesota.
In order to combat the size of Elliott Eliason and Maurice Walker for the Gophers, the Badgers tested out a lineup featuring Nigel Hayes at the three, Vitto Brown at the four and Frank Kaminsky at the five. This group did not see any time on offense together during the scrimmage portion of practice.
The Badgers scout team shot 12-for-26 (46.2 percent) from the floor during the portion of practice open to the media. Riley Dearring shot a scout team-best 4-for-8.
Wisconsin's rotation players were able to hold the scout team to just 1-for-12 (8.3 percent) shooting beyond the arc.
On the offensive end, the rotation players shot 19-for-30 (63.3 percent) from the field, including 5-for-12 (41.7 percent) from beyond the arc. Traevon Jackson led the way with 9 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field and a 1-for-3 mark from three-point range.
In six possessions against a 2-3 zone defense, the rotation players shot 4-for-6 from the field with one Sam Dekker turnover.
Duje Dukan and Ben Brust left practice early for class.
