If redshirt freshman quarterback Alex Hornibrook (6-foot-4, 219-pounds) had the upper hand on Monday when we last saw the Badgers practice, then senior Bart Houston (6-4, 235) definitely had the better day on Wednesday. He had a few misfires, including his interception in team drills that junior safety Keelon Brookins (5-11, 218) returned for a would-be pick-six. But for the most part Houston was sharper today.
Both quarterbacks had to deal with a slew of drops by their wide receivers, which mucks up their passing numbers a bit. Hornibrook had the best throw of the day: a 55-yard touchdown pass to George Rushing, who split two defenders to get behind the defense.
