MADISON - Evidently, Friday night’s matchup that featured a 59-10 Wisconsin rout over Utah State gave fans plenty to be excited about. For starters, there are the obvious headliners - sophomore quarterback Alex Hornibrook’s three touchdowns, junior TJ Edwards' lockdown defense and the emergence of true freshman running back Jonathan Taylor.

Despite these feel-good stories for Badger players and fans alike, there are some narratives that went unnoticed. Fortunately, that’s why BadgerBlitz.com is here.

Storyline #1: A Tindal Tease

Although his 13-yard carry was recalled after running back Chris James made an illegal block, cornerback Derrick Tindal made a brief appearance on offense. In fall camp, Tindal practiced with both the offense and defense but didn’t expect his jet sweep handoff to occur in that game.

“We’d practiced it and stuff, but I didn’t know I was going to do it this game,” Tindal said Friday evening. “I just came by him [Paul Chryst] and he just told me to go tell him when I was ready to go.”

Whether Chryst utilizes the senior again is yet to be seen, but one could assume versatility is always beneficial.
