The Wisconsin coaching staff made a strong first impression on Clarence Glasker III.

In Madison for the first time Friday, the 2019 athlete from St. Mary's Prep in Michigan and his father took in the Badgers' spring game at Camp Randall Stadium.

"The visit was great, it was a very unique experience," Glasker III told BadgerBlitz.com. "I enjoyed spending time with the coaching staff and getting to know them. I was able to see a room with their many accomplishments over the years, and I also had a chance to go into a banquet hall and listen to some of the coaches speak about the school and expectations.

"The speeches that I heard from the coaches was a great thing to hear to better my future. I also had a chance to attend the spring game, watch some of their drills and get a few coaching points. I had a great time at the game - getting a chance to see how they play, meeting the coaches and getting a feel for what they expect and require."

A 6-foot, 190-pound sophomore athlete, Glasker III could play running back or linebacker at the next level. Still early in the process, UW provided feedback on the offensive side of the ball.

"I got very positive feedback from the coaches," Glasker III said. "They said that they liked my size and build and they also said when they took a look at my film that they liked what they saw. The coaches said they liked how I ran strong and hard. They didn't really give negative or critiquing feedback but I believe there's always work that needs to be done.

"I feel like Wisconsin is a great school with a strong sense of family and helping the community. I also like their football program and I like that their coaching staff wants each person to be the best that they can be."

Outside of Wisconsin, Glasker III is hearing from a handful of other schools early in the process.

"I talk to coaches from Syracuse, Ohio State, Boston College and Toledo," Glasker III said. "All came to my school and they had really good conversations with each of my coaches. They all want to see me at their camp this summer.

"I'm still planning out my route for this summer as far as camps and visits, but I do plan to have a full schedule for the summer."
