Midwest programs in early on 2021 ILB Mac Strand

Jon McNamara is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has covered UW athletics since 2002 and has worked at Rivals.com since 2006.

During a first-team all-conference season at Appleton (WI) Xavier High School last fall, Mac Strand snuck in game-day visits to Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Iowa, Northern Illinois and Purdue.

Friday, the 6-foot-1, 225-pound projected inside linebacker returned to Madison to take in the Badgers' spring practice at Camp Randall Stadium.
