Junior ATH Tyler Picinic looking forward to Wisconsin visit

Assistant coach Mickey Turner's recruiting work on the East Coast will likely produce another visitor for Wisconsin's junior day guest list.

Tyler Picinic, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound junior from New Milford High School in New Jersey, is expected to make the trip to Madison on Jan. 26.

"I’ve been in good contact with the tight ends coach (Turner)," Picinic told BadgerBlitz.com. "We have been talking a good amount and I hope to take a visit soon. I’m going to try to make it up. I’m thinking the 26th, most likely."

Picinic is looking forward to meeting more of the UW coaching staff during his visit.

"I’m really looking forward to building a relationship with the coaches and checking out all of the great facilities," Picinic said. "Wisconsin is a school that I’m interested in and have been looking into a lot.

"Just my relationship with the coaches has been great so far, which is really drawing my attention to Wisconsin."

Massachusetts has already offered Picinic, who has also heard from Delaware, Monmouth, Rutgers, Stony Brook, Syracuse, Temple and West Virginia, among others. LSU checked out the school Monday.

"The schools I’ve been hearing from is Wisconsin, Rutgers, Lafayette, Syracuse, Wofford, Harvard and a few others," said Picinic, who carries a 3.96 GPA. "In addition to Wisconsin, I'm probably going to take a visit to Syracuse, as well as Lafayette and Rutgers. But nothing is very certain yet."

Wisconsin, which is expected back at Picinic’s school on Tuesday, currently has four commitments in the 2020 class.
