During stop in Ohio, Joe Rudolph drops in on 2018 WR Eric Wills

During his live evaluation period recruiting stops this month, Wisconsin offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph dropped in at Moeller High School in Ohio to check on wide receiver Eric Wills.

"Coach Rudolph came to my school to talk to my coach last week," Willis told BadgerBlitz.com. "He was telling my coach about the program and that they run a lot of pro formations and that they run the whole route tree. He also said that they have a couple of receivers in the NFL right now.

"Coach Rudolph told my coach that I had good film and it's nice that my coach can depend on me every time he throws the ball my way. He said that it's nice to have a player like me that shows up every game."

A 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior, Wills is hoping to continue to build a relationship with Rudolph and the Badgers.

"My interest in Wisconsin is extremely high," Wills said. "They have great academics, which is important to me."

Outside of UW, Wills, who had 31 receptions for 397 yards this past fall, is hearing from a handful of other schools.

"Michigan State, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Iowa State, Cincinnati and Eastern Michigan have all been in contact," Wills said. "This fall I went to Indiana and I also went to Penn State and Notre Dame with my cousin, Malik Vann.

"This winter, I'm headed to Penn and Michigan State in February. I'm not sure about my first offer but I communicate a lot with Michigan State."

In the 2018 class, Wisconsin has commitments from projected safeties Reggie Pearson and Trent Ingalls, as well as quarterback Ben Bryant.
