Scott Nelson came out with an all-Big Ten top five of Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State, Iowa and Northwestern late in the summer of 2016.
With just a few days left before Signing Day, the three-star athlete from University of Detroit Jesuit High in Michigan made his long-awaited decision. Monday, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound projected safety committed to the Badgers, becoming pledge No. 16 for UW in the 2017 class.
