Butler will visit Wisconsin

With the philosophy of taking one running back in each recruiting cycle, the Wisconsin coaching staff is busy evaluating a number of prospects in the current junior class.

One option in 2014 is James Butler, a 5-foot-9, 195-pound back from St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Ill.
Butler is scheduled to visit UW unofficially on Nov. 17 for the Ohio State game and is excited about the opportunity.
"I really like their offense and school," Butler said. "I heard it's really nice."
While Butler's recruitment is just picking up, the Badgers have remained in steady contact.
"(My recruitment) is going pretty good," he said. "I've received a lot of information from Wisconsin and the coaching staff. I really like the school."
Most of Butler's interest has been coming from Big Ten schools, and he just returned from Illinois, which he "really liked."
Butler also plans on being in Purdue next weekend before making it up to Madison for the matchup with Buckeyes.
My take: Butler said no schools stand out for him be seemed very sincere in his excitement regarding the Badgers. I suspect that he's at least originally not at the top of Wisconsin's running back priority list for 2014, but he will be one to keep an eye on as his junior season progresses.
