Boulware leaves for Oklahoma

MADISON - After less than two months on the job, Wisconsin tight ends coach Jay Boulware left Gary Andersen's staff for the same job at Oklahoma, according to a press release from the Sooners.

Andersen hired Boulware in early January to coach the team's tight ends and special teams after Boulware spent the previous four seasons at Auburn with Gene Chizik, and also worked with Andersen for two years at Utah from 2005 to 2006.
"I have the utmost respect for Coach Stoops and his program at the University of Oklahoma," Boulware said in a press release. "To have a chance to join the Oklahoma staff is an unbelievable professional and personal opportunity. I'm looking forward to the start of spring practice and the chance to work with the talented student-athletes and coaches on OU's roster."
Boulware's departure leaves the Badgers without a tight ends coach just over a week before the start of spring practices, which are scheduled to start on March 9.
