As Wisconsin's senior class gets ready for their final game at UW, a showdown with undefeated Western Michigan in the Cotton Bowl, BadgerBlitz.com takes a look at how the depth chart could look come spring camp.

Note: These projections do not take into account current injuries and do not reflect an official release from Wisconsin. And take a look at the projected scholarship distribution.

Quarterbacks

The skinny: With Bart Houston set to graduate, Wisconsin is expected to have three scholarship quarterbacks compete in spring camp. That could change, though, depending on Notre Dame transfer Malik Zaire, who visited Madison this month. Alex Hornibrook will be penciled in as the projected starter, but he could be pushed by both Kare' Lyles and true freshman Jack Coan.

Keep an eye on: Jack Coan - The four-star prospect is enrolling early and brings with him an impressive skill-set.

Coming this summer: Danny Vanden Boom (walk-on)

Running backs

The skinny: Starter Corey Clement and third-down back Dare Ogunbowale are gone, but Bradrick Shaw looks poised for a big role in 2017. Pittsburgh transfer Chris James will also be eligible after sitting out the 2016 season, and Taiwan Deal could provide good depth if healthy. At fullback, Austin Ramesh and Alec Ingold both return, with true freshman Aaron Maternowski behind them.

Keep an eye on: Chris James - A scout team standout this season, James could push for a starting role in 2017.

Coming this summer: Jonathan Taylor, Hunter Johnson (walk-on)

Tight ends

The skinny: Wisconsin returns every player at tight end with the exception of senior Eric Steffes. Troy Fumagalli and Kyle Penniston will be back as receiving threats, with Zander Neuville moving into the No. 1 in-line option.

Keep an eye on: Jake Hescock - After a redshirt season, the former three-star prospect could be a nice combination of in-line blocker and red-zone target at 6-foot-7 and 255 pounds.

Coming this summer: Jake Ferguson

Wide receivers

The skinny: Rob Wheelwright will play his final game against Western Michigan, but the core behind him - Jazz Peavy, Quintez Cephus, A.J. Taylor and George Rushing - all return. Kendric Pryor will be penciled into the No. 5 spot, with a host of walk-ons competing for time behind him. Greyshirt Deron Harrell will also take part in spring camp.

Keep an eye on: George Rushing - Heading into this final season, it's make or break time for Rushing.

Coming this summer: Cade Green, Emmet Perry, Sam DeLany (walk-on)

Offensive linemen

The skinny: The outlook on the offensive line will depend a lot on Ryan Ramczyk's upcoming NFL decision. If he stays, Wisconsin will return everyone from its current group. If he opts to leave early, David Moorman and Cole Van Lanen are the top two candidates to replace him at left tackle. Four-star Kayden Lyles will arrive this spring and could potentially work his way into the two-deep on the inside.

Keep an eye on: Cole Van Lanen - The former four-star prospect will have a big opportunity ahead of him in 2017.

Coming this summer: Tyler Beach, Alex Fenton, Logan Bruss

Defensive linemen

The skinny: Wisconsin starts three defensive linemen, but this group essentially has four starters in Conor Sheehy, Olive Sagapolu, Chikwe Obasih and Alec James. All four return in 2017. Behind them, Billy Hirschfeld can play all three spots and Garrett Rand saw time as a true freshman at nose tackle. Ends Kraig Howe and David Pfaff remain question marks, while the staff is very high on true freshman Isaiahh Loudermilk.

Keep an eye on: Isaiahh Loudermilk - At 6-foot-7 and 280 pounds, the strong-side defensive end could make a big jump into the two-deep this off-season.

Coming this summer: Aaron Vopal, Matt Henningsen (walk-on), Michael Balistreri (walk-on)

Linebackers

The skinny: Vince Biegel is on his way out and his compliment opposite, junior T.J. Watt, could also leave early for the NFL. That said, Garret Dooley, Zack Baun, Christian Bell and incoming junior college transfer Andrew Van Ginkel will battle this spring on the outside. Inside, the Badgers will be loaded if Chris Orr and Jack Cichy can return from season-ending injuries.

Keep an eye on: Andrew Van Ginkel - If both starting jobs at outside linebacker open up, Van Ginkel has a good chance of securing one.

Coming this summer: Jake Collinsworth (walk-on), Ethan Cesarz (walk-on)

Cornerbacks

The skinny: Hawaii transfer Nick Nelson could be Sojourn Shelton's replacement. Derrick Tindal is also back, with Natrell Jamerson, Lubern Figaro and Titus Booker fighting for time. The staff is also very high on true freshmen Caesar Williams and Dontye Carriere-Williams, with 2017 signees Madison Cone and Faion Hicks arriving next month.

Keep an eye on: Nick Nelson - After sitting out this fall, Nelson is ready to compete for a starting job.

Coming this summer: None

Safeties

The skinny: Leo Musso will be missed next year, but Arrington Farrar is as physically gifted as anyone on the roster. The staff likes true freshmen Patrick Johnson and Eric Burrell, whom will likely round out the two-deep. Veteran Joe Ferguson has been used in certain packages over the last few years.

Keep an eye on: Arrington Farrar - Expectations will be high for Farrar, with the door wide open to earn a starting spot.

Coming this summer: None at the moment

Special teams

The skinny: After season-ending back surgery, Rafael Gaglianone is expected to be ready for fall camp. He'll likely slide back into his No. 1 kicker job. Anthony Lotti emerged as the top option at punter, with R.J. Rosowski a valuable backup and starter on kickoffs. Scholarship long snapper Adam Bay will arrive this summer with the expectation of taking over the starting job.

Keep an eye on: Rafael Gaglianone - Eyes will be on Gaglianone and his ability to bounce back from his injury.

Coming this summer: Collin Larsh (walk-on)
