2019 WR Dante Cephas hopes to return to Wisconsin this fall

After camping and visiting Wisconsin this weekend, Dante Cephas is already thinking about a return trip to Madison.

"After the camp this weekend I'm very excited about Wisconsin," Cephas told BadgerBlitz.com. "I want to see how it is on a game night at Camp Randall this fall."

A 6-foot-1, 175-pound junior-to-be from Penn Hills High School in Pennsylvania, Cephas came away impressed with the Badgers' coaching staff.

"The visit was great and the coaches were respectful," Cephas said. "I got to see some of the players practice in the indoor facility - they were hard working and family-like. They were helping each other out when one was doing something wrong.

"I really like how the program is ran and also the campus overall is nice with nice people to be around. I also went to their camp that evening and after the camp the coaches said they love me but they are waiting to see my first few games in pads before they'll offer me."

Cephas, who is teammates with 2018 UW target Julian Major, worked at receiver Friday but could also play cornerback at the next level.

"It was an offensive camp so I worked at wide receiver, but I play corner also," Cephas said. "The Wisconsin coaches said they liked my route running and that I listen well when coached. They also liked my size and speed."

Outside of UW, Cephas, who has an early offer from Howard, is hearing from a handful of other schools.

"Right now I'm hearing from Penn State, Michigan State, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Toledo and West Virginia," Cephas said. "I'm going to a Pittsburgh's camp tomorrow (Sunday) but other than that, I don't have any other visits planned this summer."
