MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Badgers, and all other FBS teams, will be adding a 10th assistant football coach during this offseason after the NCAA voted to expand the number of full-time assistants teams could have on staff.
Paul Chryst could go outside the box and hire someone with no previous ties to the program, but with so many former UW players already on staff in various capacities it wouldn't surprise anyone if Chryst hires a familiar face to be the team's 10th assistant coach.
We've included below a few former UW players the Badgers could target at other FBS schools or promote from their current staff - depending on how Chryst wants the new assistant to round out his current coaching staff.
Notes: Applications for the position were due last Thursday. Universities can not officially hire a 10th assistant until Jan. 9.
