Wisconsin had a good amount of recruiting success in the state of Maryland in the 2024 class, but much of that could be attributed to former assistant coach Colin Hitschler, who is now on staff at Alabama.

In the 2026 cycle, the Badgers are trying to reestablish their presence in the area. Thursday, assistant coach Paul Haynes extended an offer to Damon Ferguson, a sophomore from Milford Mill in Baltimore.
