Roughly 25 miles separates the New Jersey high schools of Salem and Glassboro.

And though the University of Wisconsin is well over a 14-hour drive from either location, the Badgers' football program is connected to both schools.

In the 2013 recruiting class, former UW assistant coach Thomas Hammock landed four-star running back Corey Clement, who, at the time, held the South Jersey rushing record (2,510 yards) after his junior season at Glassboro.

In the current recruiting class, running backs coach John Settle helped the Badgers secure of a commitment from four-star tailback Jonathan Taylor, who broke Clement's mark this fall after rushing for 2,815 yards and 37 touchdowns during his senior season at Salem.

Due to his position, geographic location and future college home, Taylor has drawn a lot of comparisons to Clement this fall and winter.

"I’m honored when I hear that because he’s (Clement) a great back and he’s also a great guy," Taylor told BadgerBlitz.com. "He’s very down to earth and because he’s from my area, we know a lot of the same people and have competed against the same schools.

"Corey is a great example for me because he’s very focused on his academics and has had a great career at Wisconsin. He came in as a freshman and did very well so when the coaches said they saw that it me, it really meant a lot. They think I can make an impact during my first year just like Corey did."

In order get an expert opinion on the comparison, BadgerBlitz.com reached out to former Wisconsin tailback Anthony Davis, a member of the 2000 recruiting class who also played his prep football at Plainfield High School in New Jersey.

Davis, who rushed for 4,676 yards at Wisconsin, analyzed senior film from both Clement and Taylor and provided his opinions below:
