Stocco earns Big Ten accolade

MADISON, Wis. - Following his record-setting performance vs. Indiana, University of Wisconsin senior quarterback John Stocco was selected as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
In just 2.5 quarters of play, Stocco completed 15-of-17 passes for 304 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. His .882 completion percentage was a career high and the fifth best in Wisconsin history, and he surpassed 300 yards of passing for the fourth time in his career.

Additionally, Stocco set the UW mark for pass efficiency, earning a rating of 296.68, which broke Jim Sorgi's record of 268.4. In the game, five of Stocco's passes went for more than 20 yards, including a season-long 58-yard pass in the second quarter that led to a touchdown.
Stocco picked up his third career Big Ten Player of the Week award, giving the Badgers three in just five weeks of play this season.
