The Badgers held another scrimmage on Friday afternoon, just a few days after scrimmaging for the first time this fall on Monday. Redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook (6-foot-4, 219 pounds) appeared to outplay senior Bart Houston (6-4, 235) on Monday, but this time around it was the senior who had the better day.
Houston's passes were crisper overall and had some nice zip on them- it was one of his best performances during the practices UW has allowed media to watch. If he keeps playing like that the rest of the way through camp it would make Paul Chryst's decision easier when it comes time to name a starter.
Hornibrook wasn't bad, though, and the two were locked in a pretty tight race for most of practice. But one of his interceptions was definitely a mistake- he overthrew his receiver and freshman cornerback Caesar Williams (6-0, 179) picked it off easily. The second came off of a tipped pass that senior wide receiver Rob Wheelwright (6-3, 211) couldn't hang on to.
