"The environment was nice," Perry told BadgerBlitz.com Monday. "I was very impressed with the program and I believe I would be a good fit there. I was surrounded by nothing but positivity and that made me feel good."

Perry, who chose UW over offers from Bowling Green, North Texas, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Alcorn State, Colgate and Georgetown, is commit No. 13 for Wisconsin in the 2017 class. He is the second projected receiver, along with fellow Lone Star State senior Cade Green.

"I really enjoyed myself at Wisconsin," Perry told BadgerBlitz.com on Sunday. "The coaching staff is not only close to each other, but with the players as well. I like the environment because everyone is close, are upbeat and positive people.

"It was a great experience and I'm very impressed with the football organization as a whole."

Perry, who was recruited by position coach Ted Gilmore, was hosted by former DeSoto standout Chris Orr, who is out this season with a knee injury. Through six weeks of his senior season, Perry had 22 receptions of 464 yards and seven touchdowns.
