The Latest

Wisconsin became the fifth school to offer 2018 safety Cameron Jonas, a projected safety from Dwyer High School in Florida. The Badgers have a bit of a connection in the 6-foot-1, 187-pound sophomore's recruitment.

"My God brother, Jaevery McFadden, actually played for them," Jonas told BadgerBlitz.com. "The thing that stands out the most to me about the school is their football team.

"Wisconsin is not my No. 1 school but I have a very deep interest in the school."

In addition to the schools that have offered Jonas so far, Florida, Oklahoma and Michigan State are also showing strong interest. Another team from the Big Ten, though, currently sticks out in his recruitment.

"Well, I've always been an Ohio State fan, so I would consider them my No. 1 school," he said.

In the 2018 class, the Badgers have offers out to projected safeties Dallas Craddieth, Dequan Walker and Isheem Young, in addition to Jonas.
