Last Time Out

When Bronson Koenig finds his stroke there is little opposing teams can do to slow down the talented senior guard and that's exactly what happened in UW’s opening round as Koenig hit eight 3-pointers in the Badgers' 10-point win over Virginia Tech. But it wasn’t all easy. With 2:25 left on the clock the Hokies only trailed the Badgers by a single point, but Wisconsin showed better consistency at the penalty stripe and managed to pull away in the final moments.

Bronson Koenig – 28 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists

Nigel Hayes – 16 points 10 rebounds, 3 assists

Ethan Happ – 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal

Less than 20 minutes later the explosive Big East champions had opened the lead up to 20 points and showed the nation they are here to repeat as they rolled over The Mount, 76-56.
