School has announced for the Badgers over Illinois and Northwestern.
On Christmas night Cribbs told Edgy
Tim, an Illinois Prep site, that he had decided on Madison: "I'm
heading to Wisconsin. I asked God to help me with the whole decision process and
for his guidance, and after my three visits Wisconsin just felt like the place
for me. From the academics to the football program......Wisconsin was the clear
winner."
Cribbs
is ranked as the nation's 22nd best linebacker by Rivals.com. Scout Tom Lemming
of Prep Football Report has Cribbs listed as a 4-star All-American and says he
can play against the run as well as any prep defender in the Midwest. He's
projected as either an outside linebacker or rush end for the Badgers.
What tipped the scales for Wisconsin? A pair of visits to Madison. The first
an unofficial visit for the Michigan game and then his official trip in
December. The Camp Randall crowd really impressed the bluechipper.
“I loved it. The crowd, the students, everything,” Cribbs said after the
Michigan-Wisconsin game. “It was much different than the Northwestern
atmosphere. They’re more calm.”
Then on his official visit he was hosted by defensive lineman Jason Jefferson
and came away very impressed with the Badger program.
“I had fun with everybody. I didn’t really know how the guys acted, so I
really didn’t know what to expect,” Cribbs said. “I had never been around
them, but this weekend I was able to spend some time with them. I enjoyed
kicking it with the guys. I saw a couple of guys I played against in high
school. It was a fun experience.”
Cribbs also talked about his visit to the Chicago Sun Times. Click

Cribbs still is not sure what his major will be, but says his commitment is
solid for Wisconsin.
