Faulker returning to Wisconsin

Eddie Faulkner is coming back home.
A running back for Wisconsin from 1996-2000, Faulker was hired as the team's new tight ends coach, head coach Bret Bielema announced Monday.

"I'm excited to be able to bring Eddie back to Madison," Bielema said in a release. "It's always special to be able to hire a former letterwinner."
Along with coaching the tight ends, Faulker, who worked with current offensive coordinator Matt Canada at Northern Illinois in 2011, brings special teams experience to UW.
"In addition to coaching our tight ends, Eddie brings great experience coaching special teams and has tremendous talents as a recruiter," Bielema said in the same release. "He's obviously worked with Matt and he is highly-respected among the coaches on our staff."
A native of Muncie, Ind., Faulkner was part of two Big Ten championship teams at UW.
"I'm very excited about the chance to come back to Madison and coach," Faulkner said in the same release. "Being an alum and coming back to the university I graduated from, I think that's an opportunity most coaches look for.
Faulker will take over a unit that returns Jacob Pedersen, Brian Wozniak and Sam Arneson, all of whom saw playing time in 2011. In addition, Brock DeCicco, Austin Maly and Austin Traylor are expected to compete for time this season.
"I want to thank Coach Bielema for this chance. I worked for Matt Canada last year at Northern Illinois and he is a great coach and someone I really respect. I can't begin to say how excited I am about coming back and I'm looking forward to getting to work."
