Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst is starting off his 2017 recruiting class in the trenches.

Monday, the Badgers secured commitments from in-state offensive linemen Alex Fenton and Logan Bruss. They join previous commits Kayden Lyles, a projected interior offensive lineman, and Aaron Vopal, a projected defensive end, in the current cycle.

A 6-foot-5, 285-pound junior from Menomonie, Fenton, who visited unofficially on Sunday, chose UW over offers from Michigan and North Dakota. He played last fall with Wisconsin signee Mason Stokke.

Bruss, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound three-star lineman from Kimberly, chose UW over offers from Michigan, Nebraska and Illinois, among others. An all-state selection as a junior, Burss helped Kimberly to an undefeated season and state title last fall. He was also in Madison on Sunday for an unofficial visit.

Both Fenton and Bruss were offered by Wisconsin during its junior day last month.
