Bruesewitz to miss 4-6 weeks

MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin forward Mike Bruesewitz will miss four to six weeks after injuring his right leg in practice Tuesday, according to a release from the Wisconsin Athletic Department.
Bruesewitz sustained a laceration to his lower right leg after he came into contact with the back half of the basket standard as he dove out of bounds. The release said Bruesewitz already underwent surgery on his leg, and has started his rehabilitation.

The injury comes just as Bruesewitz was about to start his senior season with the Badgers. In three seasons, Bruesewitz has made 41.5 percent of his field goals, and averages 3.5 rebounds per game. A native of St. Paul, Minn., Bruesewitz is part of an experience-laden frontcourt, with Ryan Evans and Jared Berggren also set to start for the Badgers this season.
The Badgers will tip off their season Nov. 7 in an exhibition game against UW-Oshkosh. Their first regular season game is slated for Nov. 11 at the Kohl Center, where they'll take on Southeastern Louisiana.
