Badgers to play USF in 2014

MADISON - The Wisconsin Badgers will play a home-and-home series with the South Florida Bulls, according to a release from the Wisconsin athletic department. The Badgers will host the Bulls in Madison in 2014, and will make a return trip to Tampa in 2017 to complete the series.

"We obviously recruit a lot in the state of Florida and these games will be great for our exposure down there," Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen said in a statement. "USF is traditionally a strong program so it's exciting to get a quality opponent on the schedule for our players and the fans."
The Bulls and the Badgers have not played each other previously. Their first game is scheduled for Sept. 27 in 2014, and should be their final non-conference game of the season before moving in to Big Ten play. The Badgers have already scheduled a home game against Bowling Green in 2014, and will open their season on a road trip to Pullman to take on the Washington State Cougars.
Rutgers and Maryland are also scheduled to join the Big Ten in 2014, but it's unclear if the Big Ten will move to a nine or ten-game conference schedule during their first year in the conference.
