Badgers land Michigan WR Taj Mustapha

Taj Mustapha camped at Wisconsin and picked up an offer from the Badgers on June 9.

The 2018 wide receiver from Michigan returned to Madison for an unofficial visit the weekend of June 16. And Thursday evening, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior from West Bloomfield High School committed to UW.

Mustapha, commit No. 15 for Wisconsin in the 2018 class, chose the Badgers over offers from Michigan State, Iowa, Purdue and Kentucky, among others. He is the fourth pledge for UW from the state of Michigan in this class, along with Reggie Pearson, Michael Furtney and Jaylan Franklin.

"When he camped at Wisconsin a couple weeks ago it was just he and his father," West Bloomfield head coach Ron Bellamy told Rivals.com. "Wisconsin intrigued him, whatever Coach (Paul) Chryst and those guys did."

The Badgers will likely take two scholarship wide receivers in the 2018 class.
