Assistant coaching Big Board: 1.0
Associate head coach Lamont Paris, who just completed his seventh season at Wisconsin, has left the Badgers to take over the head coaching job at Chattanooga.
An attractive job that is sure to bring in a number of candidates, BadgerBlitz.com takes a look at some coaches who could replace Paris and join Howard Moore and Joe Krabbenhoft on UW's bench.
Rob Jeter - UNLV assistant coach Rob Jeter
Rob Jeter is probably the most popular name floating around just hours after Paris' departure. The former assistant under Bo Ryan at Wisconsin (2001-'05) compiled a 185-170 overall record in his 11 seasons at UWM, but was fired last year with one year left on his contract. He spent the 2016-17 as an assistant at UNLV.
With a strong connection to Gard and the program, Jeter, who led the Panthers to four postseason berths, including two NCAA Tournament appearances, seems like logical choice, but he didn't get the job when Gary Close left UW around this time last year. Does Jeter have any interest in returning to Madison?
