Jon McNamara is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has covered UW athletics since 2002 and has worked at Rivals.com since 2006.
Wisconsin's new-look 2018 recruiting class added a big piece Tuesday evening.
After picking up an offer from the Badgers during a visit to Madison earlier this month, Taylor Currie wasted little time in committing to head coach Greg Gard. The 6-foot-9, 205-pound power forward joins senior center Joe Hedstrom, who accepted a four-for-five offer from Wisconsin in October.

A one-time Michigan commit, Currie, from Clarkston High School in Michigan, reclassified from the 2019 class in June. The three-star prospect, who played with All-Ohio Red on the AAU circuit, chose UW over a scholarship from Xavier, among others.
With Currie and Hedstrom in the mix, the Badgers still have one more scholarship open in the current cycle.
