MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Badgers will take on the American Eagles (20-12, 13-5 Patriot)in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

In the preseason poll, the Eagles were pegged to finish ninth in the 10-team Patriot League. They finished the season second in the League and ended up winning the conference tournament final over top-seeded Boston University, 55-36.

As the season went on, the Eagles' defense got stronger. The Eagles' defense really impressed during the three games of the Patriot League Tournament where they held opponents to 28.59 points below their season average.
