OL signee has dropped 11 pounds from last season

Miami Offensive lineman signee Ian Symonette says the workout regimen sent to him by Cane coaches is paying dividends.

"Everything's going great," he said. "I've noticed improvement. I get a feel for what the Miami Hurricanes do in the offseason, so when I get there in the summer I'll have an idea of what's being set up for me to do.

"It's a more high intensity workout, gets your heart rate up. It's a different level from high school, but after a week or two you get used to it. I've actually lost weight fat-wise and put on more muscle mass. Visually you can see the difference."

Indeed.

He currently weighs 334 pounds, down from his playing weight of 345 pounds last season.
